The Alesis QuadraSynth Keyboard

and S4 Module

QuadraSynth Specifications | S4 Specifications

The QuadraSynth revolutionized the industry by introducing useful features combined with affordability. Never before could you find a synthesizer master keyboard with 76 keys, 64 voice polyphony, user-friendly interface, and high quality sounds. Digital effects, 16 Mb sample ROM, PCMCIA expansion slot, dual audio output, ADAT interface, large backlit display - just to name a few of the highlights. The S4 is the rack mount module version of the QuadraSynth, - without the keys. The first versions of the QuadraSynth (up to v. 1.07) were a little short on MIDI implementations, they couldn't transmit or recognize MIDI control messages like pan, volume or bank changes. The banks were strangely organized, and it couldn't do General MIDI. The PLUS upgrade not only fixed these problems, but added several great new features. See the Upgrade Options and the Specifications Chart for more details.
