Thank you again for the terrific advice! I wish the manual that came with the synth was half as informative. Thank God for forums like this. If you need any computer advice at any time just let me know.

Phil

: Phil,

: You can't and you don't want to get mixes into you Cakewalk sequences. Mixes on the
: QS are layered sounds, using multiple channels. They are made for live performances,
: not for sequencing. The only mix made for sequencing is the Multitimbral mix, which
: has all 16 channels enabled. If you like the sound of one of your mixes, simply look
: what programs it uses, and add them to your sequencer mix. For example if your favorite
: mix is made up of piano and string sounds, start your new mix with the same piano and
: string sounds, assign the same setting and effects to the mix, and you're all set.

: : This advice helped a lot, thank you. Not without some wierdness, though, seemingly from Cakewalk. On the third track I suddenly had some bizzar sounds instead of the ones I was expecting. I guess there are still some kinks to work out. I still need to figure out how to get the QS mix sounds, rather than the program sounds, into my recordings. If you have any advice on that please feel free to send it my way!
