convert midi files into .sgx kawai sequencer

When I compose a song on my q80ex sequencer they are recorded as *.sgx and not*.midi. My question is how can convert .sgx file to *.midi and viceversa? There are lots of midi files on the net but I can't record them on my sequencer 'cos the machine simply ignores them. Why does my q80ex say "standard midi files player"? Can anyone help me?
