: Hello everybody,
: i've started mucking around with cakewalk sonar, and now have a few questions about midi.
: I want to achieve a good bass sound that sounds like the dance and RNB songs that are on the radio. The midi patches for bass available to me so far do not sound very good.
: I have patches like "acoustic bass" and "electric bass(finger)", but they do not sound good enough. My sound card is sound blaster live.
: Can i achieve the bass i want using cakewalk sonar?
: should i be looking for more patches on the internet?
: any help would be great.
: thanks.
I dont know if this helps, but!! I have a good sound system on my computer with a base sub woofer, just like the hi fi system... Just about 99% of all midi files I use sound great, regards bass quality of course, but the same midi's on anything less is rubbish. Regards sound card, dont worry, just about owt is good enough, mine is on board basic.
Hope this helps.
