I've been looking into buying a laptop. It seems that what you need is a PCMCIA card. You can look into them at audiomidi.com, maybe on this site too. I think you'll have to get an this external PCMCIA card, but it will probably do the job and sound a lot better. There are many different manufacturers too. The one I was thinking about was the Echo Layla card, but I don't know if they make it for PC's. Good luck!

: Hi,
: I just bought a laptop computer (Pent. II). It can play midi files, but the sounds are aweful. I also have a desktop, inside which I have a Roland soundcard, so that midis played by it sound much better. I also have my keybopard connected to this soundcard via midi. These may be very shallow questions, but, is there any product out there that can allow me to listen to midis with a better sound from my laptop? Are there any soundcards for laptops? I would appreciate your comments very much!
: Thank you!!
: Julio
