Which midi editor / librarian ?

I'm relatively new to midi and have come to the conclusion that a midi editor / librarian would be a useful thing to have. All searches thus far have led to Midi Quest v.8
I'm running a PC with Win98SE and Cubase. I'd like the editor to integrate into Cubase if possible.
Any recommendations and / or views on Midi Quest?
