Hi. I have a Casio WK-1650 with a midi-to-joystick port interface. I have a Sound Blaster PCI128, a 700 mhz Athlon system with 512mb memory and plenty of hard drive.
And I have the same problem as the person who started this thread. The midi comes through fine from the computer system, but things get weird going into it. I have tried different sequencers (Anvil Studio, Ensemble Studio). I have tried both win98 and win2000. I have tried many configuration changes. I have tried switching cables.
The only thing I haven't tried is switching soundcards, because I don't want to shell out if there is an inherent prob with the Casio keyboard and a soundcard interface. Anyone have a success story with this keyboard, and if so, what sound card are you using? Or is this something that is going to require a usb interface like Roland's MPU32 External MIDI Interface?
We thank you for all of your input.
Sincerely,
Craig
