No Midi-In with VIA AC-97

Hi,

I am desperately trying to send Midi-Events from my Midi-Keyboard to my VIA AC-97 On-Board Soundcard through the Gameport.

There are some signals arriving when I press a key, but definitely no Midi-Signals. Everything is connected correctly and I think, BIOS is set up correctly as well. I tested the keyboard with another Soundcard and it works.

The funny thing is, that - without any change - it worked for only one time. Could it be a problem of WinME?
