The MIDI note event also contains "note on" and "note off" data.
The time between note on and note off messages is the duration, that's the value you're looking for.
: What i have to do is to read a midi file and output a pinao sheet for it... My current problem is this: Once Ive read a note on event, i can already determine its channel, velocity, octave, pitch name, but i can't determine yet what kind of note is that. Is it a whole note or half note etc... Please help me... thank you very very much
