ART SGX2000 /midi controller?

Hi,
I have a ART SGX2000 guitar effects rack; its old equipment. I have the X-15 midi controller but it is so huge I hate carrying it around. Do you think something like the rocktron midi xchange will work with the SGX? I love how small it is and I only need to switch between 2 or 3 effects. Thanks for any advice!
