You need a MIDI interface : Roland UM-1 or Midisport 2x2 recommended.
Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 would be a good choice for creating, editing and playing MIDI files.

If your keyboard doesn't have General MIDI sounds, you'll also need a sound module or
you have to rearrange the files to fit the sounds in the keyboard. It also have to be multitimbral,
so it can receive MIDI data on more than one MIDI channels.

All of the above mentioned software and hardware are available at the Midi-Store, click on the banner on the left.
If you need help with anything, the Midi-Store will answer all your questions, feel free to ask.

: I would like to practice classical piano concertos and chamber music by inputting the orchestral/instrumental parts through my electronic piano using MIDI while simultaneously playing the piano solo.
: My computer is a Sony VAIO R547 (Pentium III, 600 MHz) with 128 MB of RAM running Windows 98. The sound card appears to be an Aureal Vortex AU8830.
: My electronic piano is a YAMAHA Clavinova CLP-560.
: Questions:
: (1) Am I correct in assuming that with the proper software I can output the concerto files I find on the web to my Clavinova but with the piano channel muted out to achieve my objective (is the piano solo part on its own channel?)?
: (2) What additional hardware, software and cables do I need to accomplish this task?
: Thank you.
