can't play midi or .wrk files

Hi,

I'm trying to play .midi and .wrk files on my Live! Platinum 5.1 card and Cakewalk Homestudio 2002 on Windows XP, but no output. I use soundfonts and even without soundfonts ... no output comes out. Anyone have an idea?
