: Hi
: Help!
: I have this stupid error now everytime I start my computer - 'The creative ensoniq audiopci driver cannot load MIDI waveset. MIDI playback has been disabled.'
: I just want someone help me get rid of it. I don't even care about MIDI or the driver. I don't want to download anything to get rid of it.
Here's a guess, since no-one's stepped in with an authoritative answer yet. If you don't need MIDI at all, then probably in Device Manager (from Control Panel) you'll find an entry for this sound card (or onboard chip) under "Sound, video and game controllers" - or some such, it may vary with operating system. Right click and pick properties, then the Properties tab and look at MIDI devices and instruments. Click on properties for any device listed there and select "Do not use MIDI features on this device". That ought to disable it, though it's only a sticking plaster - I don't know what the problem itself is of which this is a symptom.
