About vintage card i don't know but i've use a lot sampling cd's with my QSR with excelent results.
I use the sampling option with the help of two programs:
CDxtract 3 from www.cdxtract.com
AND
Awave 7 from www.fmjsoft.com
Insert the AKAI or ROLAND format sampling cd, and save the sounds i like as SF2 files (soundfonts) with CDxtract. Then open this file with Awave and save it as INS file (its a format that Sound bridge understand). Open this INS file with Sound Bridge (its Alesis free program for burning Flash cards) and load it to card.
Thats it. Of course you have to use sounds max 8MB (but it is enough if you think that inside QS synths, most sounds are only 30 - 80 kb!)
Of course you can also use Awave to make INS files from sampes come from the 100's free web sites.
I've already made some sounds ready to load from Soundbridge to flash card. I expect that Les Winters will put them here for free download in a few days.
