: : Thanks Les!
: : So what you say is that I should put these controllers (A to D) assigned to cutoff, release, or whatever, for each of my programs and then tweak them. Then, while in the mix mode, I can assign the mix to work with the program that I defined before for these controllers, and that's it?
: : It seems to be somehow limited, though. When I imagine that a CS1X/2X/6X for instance has all this knobs for realtime control, at least I would expect the QS to be able to be diretly controlled by Cakewalk for such a purpose, without having to program it much.
: : How about that kinf of "Patchboy", or "Freakcontrol" hardware pads that come with silders and knobs for realtime variations... I mean, if I plug one of these thingies to my QS, will they control independetly all my midi channels on a mix, or no?
: : Any ideas?
: I have a Roland JD-800, it has 59 sliders and many knobs and buttons, so it's made for real-time tweaking.
: Most sample playback machines (like the QS) are not that easy to control in real time. You have up to four voices per patch,
: and up to 16 patches per mix, so you would need a really complicated piece of hardware to tweak all that.
: I also have an MM-16 MIDI mixer, it has 16 assignable faders, and it can do various controllers even sysex. It's a pretty useful controller,
: you can check out the specs at the link below :
OK, I guess I'll have to break the news that Alesis QS series synths don't have resonant filters. No resonance parameter exists. ok bye.
