All I had to do was turn off GM and it worked great. Thanks!
: Are you assigning each program to a separate MIDI channel? Have you diasbled GM mode and set the Program change mode to a specific MIDI channel?
: If you haven't already, try this . . .
: For a selected MIDI channel:
: Send a cc message control 0, value 3 (this corresponds to 'choose the preset 3 bank'
: Send a program change , for example 87.
: Repeat for each MIDI channel you want to associate a sound to.
: : I'm having a bit of a problem and I'm at my wits end as to what to do. I'm begging for anyone with advise!!
: : Put simply, I can't access any patches in Cakewalk except those in Preset 3.
: : Details:
: : I have a QS6.1, and Cakwalk Express 8. I have the instrument definition for the QS6.1 and everything works great except for one thing. Despite what bank I select from Cakewalk, I'm only getting the sounds from Preset 3. In other words, if I select Preset 1 - Rainforest (patch 87 in that bank), I'll get the sound from Preset 3 - 7th wave (patch 87 in it's bank). I can change sounds from any of the Presets and User bank in Cakewalk, but I'm only getting the corresponding sounds from Preset 3. I'm in Multitimbral mode as I should be, and I'm going nuts trying to figure out what the problem is. If all I wanted to do was use Preset 3, I'd be a happy camper... but obviously, I want access to all of the patches.
: : If there's any light that anyone can shed on this, I'd be eternally grateful.
: : Thanks Much!!
