Hi gang! Well, cakewalk is still sending and receiving 77776 byte all-dumps a-ok, so I guess the problem is within Midi-Ox. If I change the number-of input and output buffers in Midi-Ox's sysex config area... the size of the saved "dumps" changes too! How odd. I'll need to study that. Meantime, I got my Sousa marches playing much better, using both GM userbank sysex sends at the beginning of songs, AND via sending just the GM MIX that fixes the drums on the marches that contain such.

Personally, I don't think a march CAN BE GOOD... without an extravagant, Earth-rattling, drum corp... do you?

I hope some company/inventor... latches-onto that sysex switcher idea in the first post, and RUNS WITH IT! (Hey Alesis, pay attention... new product idea... for midi robotics experimenter's kit 1.0!) :)

Otherwise... I'm going to be etching a few hundred circuit boards myself, I suppose. House On The Rock SysEx Switcher - 1.0. errrf. Like I know what a programmable logic array is! :/ errrrf (again!)
