If you have a Sound card, you already have a midi card. You just need a cable connection for your joystick port. If you don't, then the card you should get depends on what you're doing. If you're only doing Midi work, then buy the cheapest card you can find. I hear tell you can get a decent card for $25. The sound quality doesn't matter if you're driving an instrument. (You'll need a cable, too.)
I run my QS-6 through a cheap card in the middle of a daisy chain, and it works great.
