DON'T bring your QS back to the dealer!
The manual admits somewhere (but don't ask me where exactly...) that noise may occur if several effect parameters are modulated while playing. If, for example, you change the delay time of any delay effect while a signal is present, you will encounter strange noises.
This is caused by the way the FX unit works internally. (In fact, hardware effect processors show the same behaviour - at least mine (BOSS SE-70) does.
To check out the function of your sliders, do the following:
a) choose the program "TRUE STEREO (Bank 1 Prog 0)"
b) press EDIT SELECT, then 0 (Number key)
c) Set 'Mod Source' to 'SLIDER A', Mod Dest to 'PITCH' and Amount to +99.
Start playing and moving slider A
The pitch will change CONTINUOUSLY.(and your dog/cat, if present, will most probably FLEE at the sound of it)
Set 'Mod Source' to 'SLIDER B' and continue playing and moving the slider.
Check out all 4 controllers.
If, on the other hand, the pitch changes abruptly at one point or other, it may be possible that the controller is damaged.
Most certainly it will be the effect unit that causes the noise while a parameter is changed.
Change the Mod routing of the FX to find a way that works properly.
