Just set your QSR in program mode. But then you can only play with one program(not 16). This works but is not recomended.

If you have downloaded the ".ins" file"(Cakewalk instrument file) for the QSR then you can change the programs(and banks) from Cakewalk and not from the QSR. You have to set your QSR in mix mode and all the chanels in the MIX must be switched on).
