First, select MIX mode. Then switch on the channels 1 and 2 (ENABLE=ON). Set the range of the first sound from the bottom end to H2 and the range of sound 2 from C3 to the top end. Then switch the KEYBOARD parameter for each sound on, enabling keyboard input. Now your keyboard is split.
Maybe you should have a close look at the manual. It's not THAT bad (actually, it's one of the more comprehensive kind) and it explains these tasks better than anyone could within a couple of lines.
