You're wrong on this one. The new SoundBridge let's you burn SampleCell files (i.e. multisamples) to your cards. You could design a SC file with 88 key regions for the left sound, another such one for the right sound, assign them to sounds 1 and to (panned left and right) and you're done. If you need to use two cards, burn the left one to card A and the right one to card B. Should work IMHO (never tried, though).
Perhaps you can also get a Sample CD in SampleCell format, which would save you from doing the multisampling yourself.
