but...
SoundForge is NOT a sequencer (at least not the version I work with from time to time)
It's a sample editor, that's something completely different.
A sequencer is a program that can record and play back MIDI data.
For additional confusion, modern sequencers may be able to process/edit samples.
First find out what you want to do with the program before you spend any $$$ ('making music' may not be exact enough ;-)
