I agree. I wanted (1) a good piano sound and feel for when I do solo piano jazz gigs and there is no piano or the existing piano sucks, and (2) good organ, synth and other instrument sounds for when I play fusion gigs. I tried pc88, and several Korks and Rolands, and decided the Alesis was the best mix at a moderate price.
: Just think this way. IF you need nice piano sound as well as synthesizer capable keyboard then you can't go wrong with QS8. If you are looking for definite piano then PC88MX is for your.
