The keyboard is designed to use User MIX 00 for playing (or creating) sequences, use the GM MIX 00 for GM sequences (you also need to go into Global Edit/option 7 and GM ON, keep it OFF for non GM sequences). Sequences use the individual instruments (programs) you select from within the sequencing software and assign to each of the 16 midi channels. Theu can be any combination of programs from any of the QS banks.
If you use USER MIXES other than 00, you wipe out what ever is already programmed there.
