In case anyone is wondering, after buying a newer version of Cubasis from Steinberg and discovering the fonts were still messed up, I bought some font managing software. And, of course, it was just a font conflict, which was very easily fixed.
I'm totally surprized Steinberg didn't know of this conflict because the fonts I use are a very standard set and many people must have had the same conflict.
