: I'm planning on purchasing a new sequencer that will have audio recording capabilities in the future but I'm curious, what hardware would I need to record audio?
: I've tried recording straight to my soundcard in the past but the results were less than pleasing due to an intolerable signal to noise ratio level.
: Help.

try Hoontech's Digital Audio 16ch card with DI2000 kit. It's about $399 and it has excellent signal to noise ratio level. It's way better Emu's APS but cheaper and more features. The card has two DSP and lots of firmwares and 24bit A/D converter and more. I am getting this card too as soon as their online order system back on.
They also have a card specially designed for hard disk recording.
visit their homepage for more info.
