: : I incorporate a lot of program and bank changes in my sequences in order to get more sounds out of 16 channels.
: : One problem that I've encountered is that when I rewind a sequence, the synth gets on the wrong program or bank number.
: : Also, sometimes when I hit stop on the sequence, the bank reverts back to the user bank.
: : Does anyone else experience these problems and have a solution?

: Greg,
: Not sure if you are talking about sequencing from a card or pc. Did you go to global edit and bank>, then page> to page 7.
: There you will see if gen midi is on or off. If it is on, it will mess with your program changes. If you are using a pc-based
: sequencer such as cakewalk, yuo should find a list of all the control messages for that sequence (in cakewalk, it's view/event list)
: Check for errant or rogue controller data. I may be way off base, but those are where I have found some of my problems that
: are similar to what you are describing. Oh, and in the sysex window, sometimes there is a gen midi reset or other sysex
: info on the first line that you can delete. Touchy stuff, isin't it? Hope that helps.
Thanks for the tips but none of this was what I was looking for. Nevertheless, I found the answer.
I'm sequencing from a PC. How could I rewind if sequencing from a card? I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm asking because maybe you know of a way to rewind when sequencing from a card. If so (I didn't think such a thing was possible) then let me know.
The answer to my question lies in an option in Cubase called Chase Events. When enabled, Cubase will look for the most recent controller change and apply it even when you are rewinding and forwarding through the sequences.
For this option to work though, you cannot have multiple parts on the track.
