: : : Is there a decent book available on the QS synthesizers? Or another good resource? The manual
: : : offers only a glimmer of what's possible, and I'm trying to demonstrate options to my students. Thanks.
: : Mark...try alexander publishing. they have a book of the QS synths, and it should be more helpful. I'm going to get it myself

: Good find Doug. : )
: I think that I will order that book myself. I went to their website. It's at www.alexanderpublishing.com
: The book 'QS Quickguide' runs $22.50.
: Thanks again.
hmm, checked out the description. This honestly looks like a re-written operating manual (you know, maybe the way it should have been written the first time). It doesn't look like it covers anything that a user would want (you know- dig deeper into sound editing, working with your own samples, using 3rd party samples, etc.). But then again, would they make such a book if only 3 people buy it (or should I say download the .pdf or Word doc like you can on this site- very smart although not worth the $2 savings over a printed book).
Here is the index of the book:
"By David Crawford. 10 Lessons written in a simple do-this/do-that approach that gets you operating and editing with the QS series keyboard quickly. Lesson 1, Back Panel for Connections. Lesson 2, th Front Panel. Lesson 3, Banks. Lesson 4, Memory Management. Lesson 5, Mix Mode. Lesson 6, Program Edit. Lesson 7, Global Edits. Lesson 8, Effects. Lesson 9, MIDI. Lesson 10, Using the QS with a Software Sequencing Program (Cubase, Emagic, and Cakewalk). "
