: Has anyone compared the QS-8 with the Roland RD-600 ?
: In particular, keyboard action & piano sounds.
I have noticed from some friends of mine that QS-8 keys aren't tough enough. They get "tired" easily, loosing their velocity response and not returning to its normal point.
The piano sound is very, very good (particularly the low keys), depending on where you listen to it. The sound come from a good studio reference monitor is much better than the same one come from that poor no brand headphone. I have experienced that with my QSR.
I had found the sound no brilliant (in particular D4 D#4 and E4), but I found it very good when I listened in a studio.
But, I think a Roland piano sound still IS a Roland piano sound and the Roland's PA-4 hammer action still IS the BEST.
