My qs8 got some water in it from rain this past summer (thanks road crew), and I experienced the different loudness for the same level of touch. What corrected it was a good cleaning of the contacts inside by a qualified keyboard tech. It seem the water mixed with dust inside and wreaked havoc with the contacts. It was very noticeable on velocity sensitive patches like the piano. Maybe something to look at.
