I am having a serious problem trying to hook up my equipment to my computer via MIDI.
I have a QS6.1 and a MC303, and I am trying to sequence both machine with Cubase VST software.
Really, I would only like to use the drum sounds from the MC303, and the synth sounds from my QS.
So I have tried hooking the MIDI cable that goes into the computer into my QS, and then an additional MIDI cable from the "thru" on my keyboard to the "MIDI IN" on my MC303.
Since Drums are usually reserved for channel 10, whenever I try recording on another track besides 10, the MC303 plays the same notes that I wanted just the other parts on my QS to play.
What am I doing wrong? What settings should I have on both machines?
