: 1) Create my own samples and load into the synth
: 2) Create my own MIDI sequences
: 3) Be able to store samples and MIDI sequences outside of the
: synth for archiving purposes
: According to the documentation, the QS7.1 looks capable of all of this,
: however it is not clear if you can create a MIDI sequence in the synth
: and dump it to a PC for storage and playback. I understand how the
: storage media (i.e. Flash RAM cards, etc.) work.
: Anyone know the answer? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
As far as the sequence goes, you can do the opposite of what you described: Create it in your computer sequencer package, save it as a midi file, up load it to the qs and play for it. The qs sequencer is playback only.
As far as patches go, you can either dump into a computer via sysex of have them in a card in extra banks.
