I don't think you can get a good Rhodes out of the stock sounds...I've tried. I have a 2MB Rhodes that I use (RAM Card required). Someone from this forum provided it so I think we should post it on this site. Let me know if you need me to send it.
I'd like to know about the Soundfont Rhodes you talk about. Can you convert it? I know it can be done but haven't done it yet.

: I did find a free 6mb Rhodes Soundfont that sounded very good on single notes when played with Reality (or Surreal) but had horrible synth artifacts when playing two note chords (I presume from the synth engine rather than the samples themselves).
