First of all did you visit my pages at:

There you'll find many newer things about making the instruments.
Beyond that:
If you make instruments with Awave, there is an option called "Auditioning".
Go to menu Options => preferences => Auditioning
From there make your setup so you can hear your multisample, through Awave, before send it to QS.
I mean, construct your instrument and with your keyboard you can play the multisample and hear it. If it is OK then it will be OK in QS too.
Remember that it is better to save your multisample as .INS Mac format (read more at my site)
