changing patches on QS 8.1

Does anyone know of a way to change patches (programs) on an Alesis QS 8.1 using a foot pedal instead of having to reach up and punch buttons? I have been, and my wife is currently, in a musical pit orchestra and the need has arisen to be able to change sounds quickly without lifting hands from the keys.
