how do you get qs6 sounds to play on mac os X

how do i get the user bank programs to work from my qs6 on my ibook with mac os x tiger?

my qs6 works like a midi controller for garage band but i cant play any of the other sounds that are on the keyboard itself

i am novice when it comes to hooking up keyboard to computer
