Yes, the sliders do transmit midi data (midi controller information, to be exact)
You can even set the controller number for each slider. That means that you can specify which controller ' is sent.
However, your sequencer software will have a 'filter' function that may cause the sequencer to ignore controller data.
Toggle it and try again!
Information about controller standard (7: Volume, for example) can be found in your QS's manual, somewhere on the last pages (a table).
