heres a little more info, im using a k6 233mhz, asus sp97xv MB, 64 megs of ram, win98, i also am running the line outs on the qs6 to the line in of my soundcard so i can hear it through my computers speaker, im assuming this is ok. i have installed the driver from the alesis page and from the cd and back to the one from the alesis page. (im about to try the roland driver, i dont think thats the problem though) im getting a message that says the external synth was not succesfully located, would you like to try again. i have also disable the midi on the soundblaster devices (control panel, multimedia,devices,midi devices,) DO NOT USE MIDI FEATURES ON THIS DEVICE, in the properties area. i have been been able to get the cant find synth message to go away but still get no midi sound when trying to play a midi file. now i have messed with so many settings that im not sure what to do. is the qs6 setup wrong, is it the computer. if you have a simple checklist or setup instructions on how this should all be set it would be much appreciated.
