First of all, make sure that not only do you have the correct serial port rate selected on your QS, but also that you have switched it from Midi port to Serial port in that same control panel. Secondly, make sure that the switch on the back is set to PC and not MAC...(unless you have a mac of course)...and finally, you didn't say what type of computer you have, but try lowering the serial port rate to 57600 or 36800 baud...this seems to help with cubase and cubasis.
