Chris,
: What's the difference between recording a midi track and an audio track. I may not even understand what I'm asking.
MIDI is digital _data_, while audio is analog data - wave forms.
How can I change the file in Cubasis so it reads .mid instead of.arr?
You can't. Instead, you need to select File|Import MIDI File from the main menu to read in a MIDI file. Cubasis apparently allows you to "layer" songs together - haven't done it myself, though.
: Also in Cubasis, whenever I print out the score, it always cuts off a part of the right side of the paper.
I've had that problem too. I've instead gone to a simple score-specific package from the now bankrupt Passport, and use Rhapsody for scoring and visual notation. There are other packages out there that will do that. The reason I like a dedicated scoring package is so I can add notation marks that aren't available in sequencers.
