You can make one of the programs in a mix sound just like the program in program mode by making that program's channel the FX channel and then not overriding the FX bus for that channel. Depending on what other programs are in the mix, you may be able to make them sound the same as program mode (if their FX are the same as the FX on the FX channel, or if you happened to be using an FX configuration that has the "spare" FX you need on a bus you aren't using for the main sound.) Otherwise, you may have to pick a compromise FX setting for the other sounds or run them dry, which may make them sound different or thinner than program mode if the program's sound was heavily dependent upon FX.
This all probably won't make sense until you study the FX configurations, but they are in the manual which is online at the Alesis site. You typically get about 6 "blocks" of FX which can be run in I think 5 configurations which put the blocks on anywhere from 1 to 4 busses. These blocks might consist of a pitch block (that can do chorus, flange, resonance) delay blocks, reverb blocks, eq, leslie, etc. It has a limited amount of power but within certain constraints it's pretty flexible.
