There's a couple of small differences and a big difference. The big difference is that the 6.1 uses the sounds from the 7 and the 8. The 6 has its own sounds. I understand the "big boy" sounds are better, but you should go to a store and play both to decide whether this change is worth $200.
The small differences: the 6.1 has 4 drawbars instead of one. And it has a larger display.
