I ordered a pc serial cable from musicians friend for 9 bucks.

: I bought the 6.1 a week ago and had the same problem. The cable will work fine as long as you find a way to make a physical connection to your computer. Go to your local electronics store and find a minidin 8pin to db9 or db25 (depending on your computer's serial port) cable. Just attach the one cable to the other and your golden. Before you buy, make sure you know if you need male or female type connectors.
