I've been trying to figure out how to use the tracking generator for something much simpler than full chord arpeggiation for some time (i.e., getting it to alternate tones for an easy to play marimba setting). I have had no luck and am coming to the conclusion it probably cannot be done. So when I need the marimba, I take another keyboard with me. What you are talking about strikes me as being even more difficult than what I've been playing with.
You might want to check out the octal arpeggiation program on the software page of this site. I haven't tried it because even if it works when I'm hooked up to my computer, it won't solve my live play problem. But it might do the trick for you.
