Please help!
I am new to the world of the midi and have recently purchased an Alesis QS6 synth. After 2 weeks of blood, sweat and tears Ive actually got an understanding of how to lay down tracks. - why doesnt the bloody manual explain about Multitmrl on page one instead of delving into the likes of hard core midi/quantum physics!!!!!
For reference- this is a how Im recording a song:
1. go to mix mode- user bank 00 (Multitmbl)
2. select channel one with page number arrows
3. select required sound on keyboard
4. on computer (imac with Vision DSP) select track one/channel one
5. record track
to complete a song just repeat steps 1-5 selecting different tracks and channels.
6 when the song is completed, save/overite into mix user bank 01 - Brilliant!
But what confuses me is HOW THE HELL DO YOU CONTROL THE EFFECTS ON THIS SODDING THING
Even though I can lay in bed at night with my eyes closed and recite evey page from that evil manual, I just cant grasp on how to select the effects for each channel.
What I need is a step by step guide ( to be understood by a Sea-Side Donkey) of how to sort the effects.
Can you have a different effect on each channel?
Please help or would you like to buy a two week old Alesis QS6 synth for £1.50
