You need to be in Mix mode
You can do this in Program edit mode too - at least
as far as splitting. Go into program edit and
set the voice ranges to be non-overlapping.

Is there anything written(in plain English) that can walk me step by step thru the layering/mixing/keyboard splitting process?? I don't want to have to but a stack of keyboards to get to different sound combinations on stage.
