: Mix mode in Unisyn seems a little goofy. For example, from Unisyn the synth won't pick up the correct mix FX, and if I recall correctly it seems like it doesn't do the right thing with all the channels when you play the keyboard.

: Here's how I use it: Program mode works fine, so set up all your programs and FX in program mode. Unisyn's mix mode is very convenient for setting the mix up correctly, so I configure the mixes in Unisyn and just trust that they will be OK (which they always are, even if they don't play correctly from Unisyn). Then save the bank to the hard disk (call me paranoid, actually I have had no problems with crashing or data loss). Then send the whole user bank to the synth (under the menu "midi->send bank"). Now you can select the mix from the QS's panel and it will play fine.

: Cubasis is just for sequencing, I have no idea what that suggestion was about...

Sam,

Thanks for the help! I've finally got things to work
out for the most part using Unisyn in the fashion that you recommended.
Do you name and store the patch via Unisyn, save to the bank, then
send the bank to the qs8 in that order? I just need to
develop a logical order without jumping around. You
seem to be well-versed in Unisyn, and any advice you
could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again in advance
