I'm not sure I understand the question but it sounds like you've got it right. A couple more things: There is some patch naming weirdness in Unisyn, so if I want to rename a patch I select the patch edit window, and name the patch when I save it back to the bank (cntl-u). It seems like if you try to name the patch from the bank window (or something like that, I forget now) it can have different names in different places.

Also, when you switch from the bank window to the patch window, I always change (and change back) the voice number; otherwise it seems like sometimes you can be viewing one voice but editing another which is certain to confuse you and mess up your patch.

Once you get a routine though, you can edit very quickly in Unisyn without trouble. Good luck!
