Well, I determined that my bi-di MIDI problems stem from their being a hardware problem with my MIDI IN port. It may be
going bad (ten year old card). In the interim, while I look into that, I would like to connect the QSR via serial port. I've tried the
Alesis 3.04 driver, and the roland serial port driver, but it can't connect to the QSR in any direction. I am using COM1 (0x3F8,
IRQ 4) and I know there is nothing conflicting with it. I have tried in both Win3.1 and Win98. And I have the QSR set to PC: 38.4K.
Also verified my serial cable has the correct pin-outs. Suggestions?
